About
Hannah Greene, LCSW
Hi, I'm Hannah.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Ascend Therapy.
I work with teens, athletes, young adults, and high-performing individuals who are used to pushing through—even when things aren't going well underneath the surface.
Sometimes that looks like anxiety and constant overthinking. Sometimes it's perfectionism, low confidence, emotional overwhelm, burnout, or feeling enormous pressure to succeed. For athletes, it can also show up as performance anxiety, mental blocks, fear after a setback or injury, or suddenly struggling to trust yourself in a sport you love.
My approach to therapy is supportive, practical, and down-to-earth. I want you to feel comfortable talking honestly, but I also want you to leave therapy with strategies you can actually use outside of our sessions.
You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Sometimes you simply know that the way things are going isn't working anymore—and you're ready for something to change.
What Therapy With Me Is Like
Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and goal-oriented. I'm not here to simply ask, "How does that make you feel?" for an hour each week. We'll talk about what's happening, understand what's driving it, and work on practical ways to help you handle it differently.
I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT-informed skills, strengths-based interventions, and strategies tailored to each person's individual needs.
For athletes and high performers, I also understand that mental health and performance often overlap. Confidence, anxiety, perfectionism, pressure, identity, burnout, and fear don't stay neatly separated from the rest of your life.
Our work is individualized to you—because therapy shouldn't feel like a one-size-fits-all program.

Why Ascend Therapy
I chose the name Ascend because therapy isn't about becoming perfect or never struggling again. It's about developing the insight, skills, confidence, and resilience to move through challenges differently.
Sometimes progress is a huge breakthrough. More often, it's a series of small changes that eventually add up to something much bigger.
That's what Ascend represents: growth, resilience, and forward movement.
Think We Might Be a Good Fit?
Finding the right therapist matters. Ascend offers a free consultation so you can ask questions, tell me a little about what you're looking for, and decide whether working together feels right.
